Update On "T.G.I.M."
For the past four years we have been publishing our Monday morning meditation "T.G.I.M." on the Internet. Contrary to those who may dread the start of the work-week and spend their week anticipating its end (the T.G.I.F. 'Thank God It's Friday' crowd), there are those who have a distinctively different attitude that is gained by having eyes to see God at work in the workplace. These are the T.G.I.M. crowd. The people who can say, "Thank God It’s Monday" and mean it because they are anticipating how their faith can be exercised in daily situations. They look for God’s guidance and His provisions. They think creatively and Christianly.
The Biblical devotionals which are posted on the Internet every Monday are designed to be an encouragement to act as God’s 'on-the-job' agent. It is our joy to offer this freely to those who are interested in receiving it. We have been pleased to have the TGIM featured on radio programs and gain an international readership. You can be added to the distribution list by visiting our Web Page (www.newlife.org) or requesting a subscription by writing tgim@newlife.org with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
We will soon begin a major update on our Website with the addition of audio capabilities.
New Life’s Ministry Center
As we have reflected upon our personal responsibilities of stewarding our spiritual gifts and talents in the context of turning irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Christ, we have engaged in a process of designing a special resource center, a unique building, a MINISTRY/WORSHIP/EQUIPPING CENTER in the Walden Woods area of the towns of Concord and Lincoln, Massachusetts.
In 1997 a thirteen-acre parcel of land was purchased. In the autumn of that year we moved our offices there. Presently we are in the early stages of preparing for site plan approvals and the actual design for the new building.
In addition to providing space for gatherings of the church in this locality (New Life Community Church), the center will provide a safe place for people to investigate the claims of Christ, with an attractive fireside retreat-like area for seminars, discovery groups and special events. The main part of the structure will be a 580 seat auditorium for worship, seeker-services, and for the presentation of a full season of 'straight to the heart' dramatic presentations produced by our resident theater group, "New Life Drama Company". NLDC will develop new productions with Christ- centered, spiritually uplifting and redemptive themes as well as offer its effective adaptations of such classics as "Celestial City: The Story of John Bunyan and his 'Pilgrim’s Progress'","Ruth" and others. We believe God gave us the ability to communicate creatively through both the performing and visual arts, so we plan to continue to provide space for these gifts to be utilized. Classroom space and a special art gallery with works that promote reflection on our relationship with God will be featured.
This particular geographical area is where our nation’s theological waters were muddied by a definite shift away from faith in the propositional truth of Scripture that centers on God’s plan of salvation through the Messiah, His Son, the Lord Jesus, to a syncretism with Eastern religion that denies both the deity and redemptive work of Christ. Our Walden Woods Ministry Center project is dedicated to the re-introduction of the clear gospel message to the thinking of our culture.
This is a God-sized vision. It needs to be resourced through channels beyond the sacrificial giving of our own congregation at New Life Community Church who continue to give sacrificially to see this vision become a reality. That is why we ask that you pray that we will find the conduits through which our great God will provide the funds, the personnel and the necessary building permissions for this task He has called us to (1Thessalonians 5:24; Philippians 4:19).

Pray that God will use this special bridge between Jews and Gentiles! Songs from "Ruth" are also proving to be popular at weddings!
